About PsychStrategies: Who We Are

Our Story

PsychStrategies was founded in 1994 by a group of eight therapists who shared a vision of providing collaborative, high-quality mental health care. By bringing together clinicians with diverse backgrounds, specialties, and perspectives, they created a practice designed to offer broader support than any one provider could offer alone.

Over the past 25+ years, PsychStrategies has grown into one of Sonoma County’s most established mental health practices. While we previously served the community through multiple locations, we are now proudly based in Santa Rosa, where our team of 35+ licensed clinicians continues to provide compassionate, personalized care.

We offer therapy services for children, adolescents, adults, seniors, couples, and families, with a wide range of clinical specialties and treatment approaches. Whether you are seeking short-term support for a specific challenge or longer-term therapeutic care, our clinicians offer expertise in approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), family systems therapy, Jungian and Gestalt modalities, and more.

PsychStrategies works with most major insurance and managed care providers, and we also welcome clients seeking private pay services.

As Psychologists, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Clinical Social Workers we stand by our moral and ethical principles to speak out against injustice in all forms within our society.

We abhor and stand against any behavior that puts one group of people at a disadvantage within our justice system.  Abuse of power is wrong in any circumstance, and the persistent and selected targeting of minorities should not be tolerated by our society.  We stand against any behavior that infringes on the rights and freedoms of all members of our community.

PsychStrategies as a community of clinicians and dedicated administrative professionals stands against racism in all of its incarnations.  We stand in solidarity with all individuals and groups who are marginalized and face daily oppression in this world.
