As a psychologist, I enjoy incorporating storytelling in my work related to the client’s experience. My approach is person-centered and multi-theoretical, which means I work with my clients to determine the best direction for therapy and various interventions. I regularly use art, music, games, narrative therapy, humor, Geek therapy, talk therapy, and cognitive behavioral strategies.

My experience includes community mental health, residential treatment, outpatient care, schools, and juvenile justice. I have worked with clients with a wide variety of issues, such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders, substance use support, confidence building, suicidality, and relationship struggles. I specialize in teens and adults, and my services include individuals, groups, and couples. My expertise includes trauma, LBGTQAI+, Asian-Pacific Islander populations, cultural humility, and multiethnic identity.

In our first session, we will establish your therapy needs and how you want to address your symptoms. If you don’t have an idea, that’s all right! We will figure it out together. Establishing rapport is my priority, and we do that over time, using humor and interests to create a space where you feel the most comfortable. I am a strength-based psychologist and appreciate my clients’ understanding that therapy requires active participation and engagement.
